The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer EK THA TIGER's brand new theatrical trailer was out yesterday. The trailer looked pretty intriguing and got a roaring response from fans, netizens and people across all fraternity.

The teaser trailer of the film released on 11th May with YRF's ISHAQZAADE and was an instant rage both online and in cinemas. However, it only focused on Salman's action avatar and gave us a brief idea on Agent Tiger's (Salman's character) character sketch.

On the other hand, the second teaser that released yesterday showed us the appealing chemistry of Kat-Sallu, which obviously everybody is looking forward to watch. It has the blend of action, comedy, drama and romance and looks as a perfect entertainer.

Directed by Kabir Khan and Produced by Aditya Chopra, Yash Raj Films' romantic-thriller EK THA TIGER, will release in theatres worldwide on 15th August, 2012.

What is EK THA TIGER about?

This is a film about a story that became a legend, a story that is spoken about only in hushed whispers... a story that shook the very foundation of a dark world of intelligence and espionage... where there are shadows without faces. And where Governments fight shadow battles through soldiers of the unknown...

But like all reports that come out of this uncertain world... nobody will ever confirm those events...

Sarabjit is in good health, says Surjeet

Wagah, June 28 (ANI): Indian prisoner Surjeet Singh, who was officially released by Pakistan earlier today after languishing in jail for more than 30 years, on his arrival at the Wagah Border here, said Sarabjit Singh is fine mentally and physically.

"No, Sarabjit did not send any message through me. He is fine, mentally and physically. Sarabjit is in a good condition there. I used to keep meeting him," he told media on his arrival at the Wagah border here.

" I have been meeting with Sarabjeet weekly. He knew I was being released. Sarabjit Singh has no problems, he walks around, eats and is fine," he added.

Surjeet said the authorities in Pakistan provided everything to Indian prisoners in jail, and added that there is no tension at all.

Surjeet said the problem over the release took place only because of the similarity in names.

"Sarabjeet and Surjeet are written in a similar manner in Urdu that is why the mistake happened. Rehman Malik said all this," he added.

Surjeet, dressed in a white kurta-pyjama and black turban, said he had been arrested on charges of spying, and added that prisoners on both sides of the border should be released.

Surjeet, who was arrested by Pakistan for spying in 1981, appeared to be very ecstatic on his arrival in India, saying nothing he could be happier for him.

"During my imprisonment, I often remembered my family and children. Today I am very happy. I will go to the Golden Temple to pray and hug my children," he said.

Surjeet, who spent at least 27 years in Pakistani jails, was given the death sentence under the Pakistan Army Act in 1985. (ANI)

Facebook Wants To Hire This 17-Year-Old But She Hasn’t Decided If She Wants The Job

Nive Jayasekar created a mobile app for Home Depot over a weekend and won $10,500—and got an offer to work at Facebook.

She’s only 17.

The Social-Loco conference organized a hackathon event held June 16-17, sponsored by big brands like Home Depot.

Jayasekar entered, drawn by the prizes. She decided to develop a project organizer for the home-improvement chain as a Windows Phone app, because that was a special prize category.

She swept the event with her app, which made it easy for both novices and experienced gardeners to find materials for landscaping projects. (Those were originally separate prize categories; she developed a single app that addressed both audiences.)

But she barely made it to the conference to accept her prizes. After she found out she won, her mom had to drive her to San Francisco.

It was good timing: Because she was late, she got to present her winning app right before Emily White, Facebook’s director of mobile partnerships, was due to speak. They met backstage and White offered her a summer internship.

“Nive is amazing and I’m going to be working for her someday,” White said at the conference.

But here’s the thing, and it tells you everything you need to know about the war for talent in Silicon Valley right now: The recent graduate of Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, Calif., who’s headed to Carnegie Mellon University in the fall, wouldn’t say whether she’d taken Facebook up on the offer.

“The recruiting process is still going on,” she said.

Facebook couldn’t comment on where things stood.

Let’s review: A 17-year-old just got an internship offer from Facebook, on the spot after winning a programming contest. And she hasn’t decided whether she’s taking the job yet.

Meanwhile, she’s porting the app to Apple’s iOS devices and Android smartphones.

Mantralaya fire continues second day

Mumbai, June 22 (IANS) The fire in the Maharashtra Mantralaya or secretariat which claimed two lives, and injured over a dozen more here continued Friday morning, with officials saying the blaze was under control but yet to be fully doused.

A major fire broke out Thursday afternoon in room 411 on the fourth floor and quickly spread, engulfing the three top floors of the six storied iconic Mantralaya building in the heart of South Mumbai.

Fire brigade and city disaster control cell officials said that efforts were on to douse the fire that continued Friday morning.

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has ordered an inquiry by the Crime Branch into the incident to ascertain whether it was an accident, negligence or sabotage.

Although the rescue teams, comprising of the fire brigade, the police, an Indian Navy team and Force One commandoes and 41 fire tenders from Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, and other agencies, managed to evacuate and save the 65-odd people trapped on the upper floors, two dead bodies were recovered late in the evening.

Two charred bodies were recovered from outside Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's office on the sixth floor of the Mantralaya.

"Two dead bodies - both males - have been found outside an office on the sixth floor," a fire official said late Thursday.

Chavan, who held an emergency meeting Thursday evening, discussed the situation with other ministers and planned alternative arrangements for ministers to function till the situation normalised at the state government's administrative headquarters.

"A first-hand assessment of the situation arising out of the fire, the probable causes and precautionary measures to be undertaken for the future were discussed at the meeting," an official said.

The blaze, which badly gutted the three top floors, has virtually paralysed the functioning of several top political heads and bureaucrats of key departments including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Revenue, Tribal Welfare, Forests, Urban Development and Housing, Education, besides the offices of the state chief secretary, the State Disaster Management Cell.

A main control tower atop the Mantralaya which is linked to all the district headquarters in the state has also been damaged and rendered non-functional, besides damage to furniture and fittings, computers, original files and documents of various departments pertaining to important official decisions.

While most ministers and top officials have small offices in government's administrative headquarters, there could be security related issues as some 1,500 men and women work in the landmark building, which gets an equal number of visitors every day.

Pakistan T20 WC squad needs to be named soon: Afridi

Karachi, June 18 (ANI): Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi wants the national selectors to announce the squad for the ICC World Twenty20 as soon as possible, as he believes any delay will be detrimental to the team's chances at the mega-event.

"It will allow the players to mentally prepare themselves for the challenge and plan ahead. I think any more delay will affect our preparations," the Daily Times quoted Afridi, as saying.

Afridi also said newly appointed captain, Mohammad Hafeez, would learn the art of captaincy with time.

"Every new captain goes through a learning process. Hafeez also has to go through it and learn. I was able to give my best as captain after going through a phase. Every captain becomes successful after learning with time," he said.

Indian airlines to cut domestic fares by 5-20 pct - govt

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Indian airlines have proposed slashing airfares in the highest fare bracket on domestic routes by between 5-20 percent, a government statement said on Monday.

"Whereas passenger traffic has seen a downward swing in May 2012 over the corresponding period of last month, the airfares have seen a disproportionate spurt," the statement said.

"Airlines have been directed to address the above issues in a time bound manner," the statement, issued after a meeting of the sector's regulator and chief executives of local airlines, said.

Man beheads daughter in gory Rajasthan honour killing

Jaipur, June 17 (IANS) In a brutal honour killing, a man beheaded his 20-year-old daughter with a sword in Rajasthan's Rajsamand districtSunday, police said.

According to the police, the incident took place in Charbhuja area of the district, some 400 km from Jaipur.

"The man, Omkar Singh, was spotted roaming in the village with a severed head. The villagers brought him to the nearby police outpost with the head and a blood-stained sword," a police officer told IANS.

Omkar Singh was allegedly outraged over his daughter's alleged relations with several men.

"Omkar Singh told the police that his daughter Manju had relations with several men. He had asked her to mend her ways several times in the past. However, she did not pay heed. Out of pure rage, he chopped off her head with the sword," said the officer.

A police team found the girl's body at his house. "We have arrested Singh," said the officer.

India woman athlete arrested on 'rape' charges

Police in India have arrested a woman athlete on allegations of "rape"' and charges that she is actually "male".

Pinki Pramanik was arrested in West Bengal state after a complaint from her live-in partner, also a woman.

Police say they have requested a local court's permission to carry out a gender test on the runner.

Ms Pramanik has denied the charges and accused her partner of falsehoods. She has also refused to take a medical test to prove her gender.

"I have undergone numerous tests in my career as an athlete. Why should I agree to more ridiculous tests?" The Times of India quoted her as saying.

Ms Pramanik had won gold in the 4x400m relay in the 2006 Doha Asiad and a silver in the same event at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.

She also won three gold medals in the 2006 SAF Games in Colombo when she won the 400m, 800m and 4x400m relay events.

She was arrested on Thursday and appeared in court.

"The complaint stated that the woman athlete was a male and has been cohabiting with her for the past several months with a promise to marry her, but later denied," Press Trust of India quoted a senior police officer in Baguihati town as saying.

The Athletics Federation of India said they would wait for the medical report and police investigation before taking any action.

Farhan Akhtar, Vidya Balan gung-ho about SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS

The makers of the 2006 hit, PYAAR KE SIDE EFFECTS have managed to pull off a casting coup of sorts and have roped in Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar for the sequel titled SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS - a clever take on fascinating ways love works before and after marriage.

The romantic-comedy will see the actors essaying the role of a married couple who are coping with their issues, much on the comic lines of the first film.

Talking about the plot says producer Pritish Nandy, "Vidya will be playing a Delhi girl and Farhan a Bombay boy. The story moves ahead from where Trisha and Sid's characters (PYAAR KE SIDE EFFECTS) left. They get married and the changes that come in their married life, the transformation in their relationship and how they tackle these changes."

Adding that, "Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan are the two most successful actors of 2011. We are privileged to have them as the stars of SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS and that is why I think this film tops our calendar for the coming year. My belief is that SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS has the ability to be 2012's most exciting film, wild, wicked and wonderfully, wonderfully entertaining. Mars VS Venus at its best."

While the film has an all new starcast, the director Saket Choudharyand music composer Pritam stay the same. Ironically, this would also be Farhan Akhtar's first romantic-comedy and the actor couldn't be more excited.

Says Farhan "SKSE is a departure from my earlier work as an actor so it promises to be a new experience. Saket has written a funny yet moving story about simple things that everyone can relate to."

Talking about being cast alongside Farhan Akhtar for the first time says Vidya Balan, "It's the first time that Farhan and I will be working together. He's so real that everything about our situation in SKSE would seem believable. SKSE begins where every romcom ends.''

Flower backs Bell to fill Pietersen void

Ian Bell was recalled to the England squad on Monday for their upcoming three-match one-day international series against the West Indies.

Warwickshire batsman Bell returns to the limited overs set-up after being left out of England's 4-0 one-day win against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates in February, having struggled in the preceding Tests.

However, with Kevin Pietersen having retired from one-day internationals last week, England have a vacancy at the top of the order that Bell, who made an unbeaten 76 in the drawn third Test against the West Indies concluded at Edgbaston on Monday, is set to fill alongside one-day skipper Alastair Cook.

The 30-year-old Bell averages just over 34 in 108 one-day internationals and has scored just the one hundred.

However, England coach Andy Flower, speaking ahead of Saturday's series opener at Southampton, said: "It is safe to assume he (Bell) will open.
